Comments: I'm a lifelong sailboat racer having learned in Lightnings and in Penguins (frostbite sailing) since age 10 on Long Island Sound. More recently I've been tactician and alternate helmsman on a J-35 in Puget Sound the past 8 years. I've crewed and raced Whidbey Island Race Week and the Swiftsure Offshore Race since 1996 and crewed on a Laser 28, Farr 48, and now a J-35. I also own and race a 14 ft. laser, a San Juan 28, and a C-Scow. I also crewed in the 2003 Chicago Mackinac race on a Nelson Merritt 43. I'm 6ft 3in tall and weigh 225lbs. and have the physical capability to handle any situation on a racing/cruising sailboat. I also crewed on a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 52.2 for the 2006 BVI Spring Regatta and The 2006 Rolex Regatta in the Virgin Islands. I crewed on the same Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 52.2 for the 2007 Antigua Race Week. I crewed on a Beneteau 47.3 for the 2010 BVI Spring Regatta, which we won in our class.
I am a fun person to sail with and always have a positive, agreeable disposition.
Please contact me if you'd like me to crew/race with you for the upcoming regatta.
Many Thanks,
Harrie Sherwood
